About the Project
Intimacy. It would be the word of which it all comes down to.
The project was inspired by the interaction with strangers in my daily life, and it serves as an exploration of human nature. People have conventionally thought that we only get to know someone when we have known this person for a long time, but I believe that the first contact between people is the only purest and the most innocent interaction. Sometimes when we stay in a place or talk to a person for so long, we start to feed ourselves with false information through our judgments. Judgments reinforce an idea of likeness and hatred, as it is in our very human nature to judge because we inherently need to justify new people or experience with our values. But what if we don’t try to get to know someone, don’t try to know more about a place?
